The American Nightmare

This is a film I found on youtube about how horror can mesh with the psyche of the American subconscious.

It kinda makes me wonder, are we no better than the monsters that we make to scare and entertain us. Or are we writing about the primal id, the part of the mind that is reptilian and savage. Either way you look at it, horror is very much reality in that it gives us a window into the darker parts of the soul.


Even in the most surreal of horror fiction, there is a spark of the human mind that created it.
